Rusty Ferguson

I'm an American expat having the time of my life living in the Philippines. I'm becoming a bit of a jack of all trades. I grew up in Jackson, Ms where I graduated with a bachelors degree and a major in Accounting. Though there is no official designation of such, I have a strong educational background in finance as well. I worked as a revenue agent and computer analyst for the IRS for almost 20 years. I'm retired from that and my pension makes it possible to travel as my income goes with me. I am also a webmaster and it seems, I'm becoming a writer, kicking and screaming all the way. When it comes to proper English, I'm not so good. When it comes to putting emotion and ideas on paper, I've been told for years that I am exceptional at it. I also love photography and playing with computers which fits in well with my new lifestyle. Like I said, I'm having the time of my life in the Philippines. I look forward to exploring all of the country as well as some nearby countries.

    Sorry Rusty,

We have bigger earthquakes here in Michigan. Can’t feel anything under a 5.0 in all this sand I live on. The only time I have been a 5.5 was when I was in the car. Just like a bad road. Hit a 5.5 while on the Bay Bridge coming from Oakland, CA one time. Didn’t know it until the next day while reading the newspaper. Just no fun.

    Dear Rusty,

I am presently residing here in bogo, cebu and I also experienced the said earthquake. I was really shocked of it because it was my very first time to experience it, especially the first one. It was really awful, I actually had trauma until now. They folks here said that the reason why earthquakes here in bogo occured, because there was a forming small volcano at the bottom of the sea between the islands of Bantayan and Cebu and some also said it was on the mountaneous area here in bogo. Of course I don’t believe it. But is there a possibility that it might happen? I mean about forming a volcano here in this town?

I actually felt the same way you did. Everytime I heard rolling sound, I almost think of earthquake happening again. I haven’t heard an explosion but somebody told me about it. They said it was somewhere in polambato area.
